OH MY GOLD 2017
A "golden" emblematic construction, based on my grandmother's handmade lace, dissolves into thousands of teeth - a Fabergé egg decorated with teeth, is transformed into a sarcastic object that potentially gobbles and devours - an ambiguous approach to self-portraiture that attempts to explore the spiritual response to new circumstances while the handmade lace becomes a protective - erotic shell that defines an enigmatic viewing site between past and present.

The Museum of Byzantine Culture presents the exhibition HOMO UTOPICUS IN CRISIS at the Kyriakos Crocos temporary exhibition wing. The exhibition is about the coming together of 13 artists from Greece and France, who have come together to reflect on and cross the concept of utopia, on the occasion of the crisis that Greece is experiencing. The result attempts a visual approach to utopia that can potentially be achieved in a personal or collective context, guided by art and especially artistic thinking. It is this thinking that the group proposes as the powerful antidote to the blows that man has suffered from the crisis, in every aspect of his life.
