The magazine Parallaxi, through the action "Thessaloniki Differently", continues for the second year the Made in Thessaloniki 2 - Intervening in the public space throughout May. One of the action interventions includes facilities (installations) in five empty windows.
In the time of crisis, where more and more shops are closing down, we turn our aversion to empty spaces into creativity, deciding to conquer them creatively. According to Aristotle, nature abhors empty spaces and always finds a way to fill them.
The project «Fear of Void / Horror Vacui» is a confirmation of this idea: every void finds a way to be filled.
With the assistance of Commercial Association of Thessaloniki and the Institute for Trade Development, the city's creatives intervene in five closed shops, transforming their windows into dynamic art installations. The visual interventions in the windows will last until 15 May.
